Students out of uniform are required to bring a note from home on the day and obtain a uniform pass from the Year Coordinator. If a student is out of uniform, parents/carers may be contacted and requested to give a commitment to resolve the problem. Parents/carers may be asked to drop the correct uniform off at school or the student may be kept off the playground or out of class until the uniform issue has been resolved.
- Girlsβ skirts, dresses, or shorts are to be knee length and worn correctly with all buttons fastened.
- Boysβ shirts are to be worn correctly with all buttons fastened.
- Plain white t-shirts may be worn under shirts but should not be visible below the hem or sleeve line.
Footwear/Shoes
Traditional style black polishable leather lace-up shoes with a discernible heel (platforms, suede shoes, raised heels, boots, ballet flats or black sport shoes are NOT acceptable for safety reasons. Parents are asked to contact the school if in doubt, in order to avoid purchasing shoes that may not be permitted. Please see page 10 of the College guide for further information.
- Plain white socks (must cover ankle and no logos) / Navy stockings/tights for Years 7 β 12 girls.
- Plain grey or plain white socks (must cover ankle and no logos) for Years 7 β 10 boys.
- Plain navy / plain white socks (must cover ankle and no logos) for Years 11-12 boys.
Hair and Hair Accessories
Hair must be neat and of a natural colour. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted. Accessories are to match College colours (blue, white or black). Hats of any kind may not be worn inside. SFX Hat is permitted to be worn outside.
Jewellery
Junior Students
- One earring (stud or sleeper) in each ear.
- A chain with a small cross or crucifix may also be worn.
- No facial piercings, including nose rings and clear retainers.
- No visible body art or tattoos.
Senior Students
- Two earrings (stud or sleeper) in each ear, maximum.
- A chain with a small cross or crucifix may also be worn.
- A simple bracelet and ring are also permitted.
- Senior students may wear a single, clear-coloured, discrete stud retainer as a nose piercing. No other forms of nose or facial piercing are permitted.
- No visible body art or tattoos.
Make up and Nail Polish
Make-up and nail polish are NOT permitted for junior students, this includes fake eyelashes or eyelash extensions.
Senior students are permitted to wear discreet makeup and light-coloured nail polish. Noticeable fake eyelashes or eyelash extensions are not permitted. Long fingernails are not permitted including all types of artificial nails.
Sports/PE Uniform
- Navy blue sport shorts with SFX logo
- Navy blue active pant with SFX on leg (girls)
- St Francis Xavier PE shirt with SFX logo
- Plain white socks (must cover ankle)
- Joggers/sneakers
- Lace-up sport shoes
- Navy tracksuit (optional).
